Heiman's high notes and power are far better, and he's been consistently doing this for at least 25 years with zero strain or loss in abilities, including live. Yannis starts getting scratchy in the higher end and doesn't have the consistent power. Just hitting the notes themselves isn't enough. Daniel also still has him beat at the highest end of the register and in terms of versatility.

I don't think he sounds like anyone else and he has a unique style in how he approaches vocals in songs, I can never mistake him for anyone else. Many metal singers do high note screams, sure, but very few actually sound anything remotely close to this. imo what he actually lacks is a real hit song that makes him known, or being featured on some big project like Avantasia. He's got way more than enough to become iconic, he just needs to join a well recognized band. Although there's also the highlander (the one) part that is already a recognizable meme and Sacred Outcry got quite a lot of attention, I really hope he finally gets the recognition he deserves

@@TheGreatestVoice1958 you're not born with it. It's tons of hard work and often luck with hit songs. Voices can also become iconic just because they're attached to iconic songs everybody knows. Yes, many metal singers say they're self taught, but that means singing for their entire life before they even recorded stuff, lots of practice, lots of trial and error and lots of experimentation. You don't just open your mouth and sing. Even singers with perfect pitch need to do lots of practice to sing on pitch and sound decent doing it. It's not that simple.

@@TheMusicalPotatoes I think you misunderstood me. I am NOT saying that you have to just be born with singing SKILL, that of course takes a ton of training and practice. And I have no doubt that Heiman did exactly that, and it shows. There is no denying he's a greatly skilled singer. The point I am arguing is that he doesn't have a WOW voice. He's got a perfectly nice sounding voice, but nothing that groundbreaking. When you here a voice like Dio or Dickinson it just sends shivers down your spine. They have iconic, one of a kind voices. Sure, you can find imitators online, but there exactly that, imitators. Heiman sounds like a hundred other power metal vocalist IMO. He doesn't have an iconic sounding voice. I agree to some degree about the iconic voices being attributed to iconic songs, but not totally. I think a big reason those bands and songs became so iconic is BECAUSE of the voices of singers like Dio and Dickinson. They have one in a billion voices.

By the way therangeplanet does things, I guess (although idk what's wrong with those whistle notes in the very last clip). All I did extra was include the "questionable notes" on that forum and 2 or 3 notes that aren't in the thread for whatever reason. The whole video is based on that forum thread and notes discussed in it.
